{"id":427,"date":"2013-07-09T17:19:27","date_gmt":"2013-07-09T22:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/?p=427"},"modified":"2013-07-09T17:19:27","modified_gmt":"2013-07-09T22:19:27","slug":"we-survived-the-4th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/we-survived-the-4th\/","title":{"rendered":"We survived the 4th!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello hello.<\/p>\n<p>Happy belated independence day to my fellow Americans out there&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>I meant to write a post about fireworks and such, but I learned why there are &#8220;NO RUNNING&#8221; signs near pools the weekend before the 4th of July. \u00a0Its not so much for children&#8230; its for stupid adults like me, trying to show off for children, and slip and throw their back out. \u00a0(go me.)<\/p>\n<p>I was in bed for few days, and then the fourth was here before I knew it. \u00a0My neighbors had been setting off half sticks of dynamite that would shake my apartment from the weekend before the fourth to the days afterward. \u00a0Bacio was a wreck even before the holiday because of the neighbors. \u00a0 He was trying to hide in one spot, another boom would go off, and he&#8217;d run somewhere else. \u00a0Yuki, as to be expected, just laid there.<\/p>\n<p>I decided the night of the 4th would probably be extremely stressful for Bacio, and took the dogs out to the suburbs. \u00a0My aunt and uncle were having a BBQ and said I could bring them with. \u00a0Bacio got to swim in the river a bit and was feelin&#8217; good. \u00a0A little too good&#8230; My aunt said they could go inside with Max, her cocker spaniel, but we didn&#8217;t even think about picking up Max&#8217;s food. \u00a0Bacio, full of confidence and river water, went to eat the food and got into a scuffle with Max. \u00a0Its the first time he&#8217;s been a d-bag to another dog (besides Yuki but that&#8217;s just sibling stuff).<\/p>\n<p>No one was hurt, but I felt terrible. \u00a0I kept the dogs on a short leash the rest of the day. \u00a0The dogs stayed at my dad&#8217;s house while we went to see fireworks and they seemed to survive just fine. \u00a0A couple days ago I was talking to the neighbors who have two of the cutest shiba inu pups ever, and they said it sounded like a warzone here. \u00a0Glad I made the choice I did.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_428\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/we-survived-the-4th\/20130704_214821\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-428\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-428\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-428 \" title=\"Fireworks!\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130704_214821-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130704_214821-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130704_214821-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.my2whitedogs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130704_214821-700x393.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-428\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">So purdy for the eyes&#8230; So intimidating for the ears.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>How did every one else&#8217;s pups survive the holiday?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello hello.
